A sneak peek at the 25th annual Verucchio Festival

Preparation has long been underway for the 25th annual Verucchio festival, curated once again by Ludovico Einaudi, the internationally renowned Italian pianist and composer. The festival is one of the highlights of the summer in Romagna, and is well worth a visit from Rimini.

Verucchio - near Rimini

Verucchio, located strategically on a hilltop overlooking the sea, is an ancient settlement whose roots stretch back to the Iron-Age Villanovan culture. In the middle ages it was the birthplace of the Malatesta dynasty, the family which ruled and developed Rimini. Nowadays it is a wonderfully picturesque village perhaps best known for its annual summer festival which attracts artists and spectators from around the world.

This year’s festival will run from the 15th to 25th of July, with nightly concerts and a host of associated events. Confirmed already are concerts by Ludovico Einaudi, Jazz Pianist Stefano Bollani, and Emiliana Torrini, and the full program will be published shortly.
