Taxi Services in Rimini
Often the simplest option is to take a taxi. It's important to be aware of some accepted conventions, though, that may differ from your home country. Taxis in Italy are not generally flagged down, but go from taxi ranks, or telephone call outs. Taxi drivers in Italy will generally take your bags to store in the boot of the vehicle, but there is a supplemental charge for each bag loaded.
Taxi Regulations and charges
Taxis are regulated by Government, and are easily identifiable being either white or yellow in colour - in Rimini the majority of cabs are white. A rate card should be prominently on display in the cab, with English translation, detailing the different rates and supplements.
In Rimini there are two tariff levels:
- tariff per km, 0,96 euro
- hourly waiting tariff, 18,59euro
- tariff for switching on taximeter, 3,62 euro
- Van car - for loads of more than 5 people - 1,55 euro Additional charges
- Sunday and Holiday supplemental charges - 1,03euro

- Night Service (10pm-6am) 25% surcharge
