Rimini has two top-notch gig venues in Velvet and the Io Street Club. At the same time, if you're prepared to travel a short distance, there are gig venues in Cesena, and further afield Bologna - all of which have international and Italian acts touring.
Rimini has plenty of theatrical entertainment on offer, though given that this is an English language guide to the city, you might not be brave enough to listen to drama in Italian. We reccommend it heartily, though

Rimini plays host to at least two highly renowned annual international conferences - Pio Manzu, and the Meeting. Given that the city has a state of the art conference centre, plus a huge selection of hotels, it's a regular favourite for conference organisers.
