Rimini's beachfront (#'s 26,27, & 28) will, once again, display remarkable sand sculptures presenting the nativity scene, between the 8th of December and the 7th of January. Last year the display attracted over 150,000 visitors The display will include the largest nativity scene in Italy, as well as various sculptures connected with Rimini. The scenes will be illuminated at night, and a number of side events will take place, including gastronomy and animation shows for the kids

Babo Natale [Father Christmas] wil arrive for an early visit to Rimini on the 23rd of December (at 15.00). Abandoning the traditional sled and reindeers, four Father Christmases will parachute from a helicopter, into the Parco Marecchia, beside the Ponte di Tiberio. They'll be presenting gifts and sweets to children in the park. The show is organised by the Italian Parachute school, and entry is free.

From the start of June through to September, 100 days of entertainment (Cento giorni di festa) will run. It's an initiative by the Rimini Tourism authority, proposing different events under its umbrella each day throughout the summer, from sports events through to rock concerts, from cultural events through to cartoon festivals.
